Jayne Abley has been a General Manager at Liverpool Clinical Laboratories since July 2018.
Jayne’s background is as a Biomedical Scientist in Microbiology, with more than 30 years experience in the NHS, initially with the Public Health laboratory service, followed by University Hospital Aintree and then at The Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals Trust, following the formation of Liverpool Clinical Laboratories in 2013.
She was Service Manager for Microbiology services at University Hospital Aintree, leading on the consolidation of these services to The Royal Liverpool Duncan Building site in 2015.
Currently, Jayne manages a diverse range of departments and has led on a number of lean improvement events within LCL.
Outside of LCL, Jayne has three children and spends the remainder of her spare time as an inexpert gardener and an armchair sports supporter.
